Field Reports
Rev. James May is called to the Lutheran Heritage Foundation to assist the Rev. Dr. Anssi Simojoki in overseeing LHF activities throughout Africa. Centered in Nairobi, Kenya, Rev. May is learning Swahili to help translate and introduce Lutheran books for people in East Africa.
"We gave them copies of Luther’s Small Catechism and read it from cover to cover. Their reaction was elation. Instead of trying to reconcile modern desires with Scripture, we were reformed by the pure, unadultered Word of God."

Laura is in Macau, China this fall for a short-term mission trip with LCMS World Mission. For six weeks, she is aiding the long-term volunteers at Concordia English Center in Macau by teaching English as a Second Language classes and tutoring individual students.
"Students come regularly to the Center's free English/Bible classes. One can see that many of them came first for the English practice, but soon they began to come as a way of seeking respite from the weight of their daily lives."
