When your students adopt the "Amigos en Cristo" project, they lift high the cross of Jesus Christ to their Spanish-speaking friends in Christ. Imagine trying to read a Bible for the first time. What does it all mean? Luther's Small Catechism, translated into Spanish and bound with the Bible, helps explain new and sometimes difficult concepts. The Lutheran Heritage Foundation first printed 20,000 copies of this combined volume over a year ago. Those books were quickly claimed by Lutheran churches and individuals from countries like Spain, Guatemala, Panama, and Chile, as well as from Hispanic ministries right here in the United States. Many more are needed. With your help, LHF will print thousands more copies of the Spanish Bible with Small Catechism. It costs only $5 to print one Bible and catechism, so even the smallest groups can make a big impact with their mission offerings. The Bibles will be given to churches and missionaries throughout Central and South America, and to Hispanic ministries all across the United States - all at no cost to them.

| The 20,000 Spanish Bible with Small Catechisms LHF printed in 2008 have quickly been claimed. Yet, the need remains high. Requests for this useful book continue to pour in: From Chile: "...we are asking that you have 1,500 Bibles sent to us...They would be used in our schools and in evangelism. We believe they would get to around 1,500 families. We are very excited about the idea!" From Illinois: "I am a pastor in the Chicago area. Recently I ordered from LHF a Spanish Bible with Catechism. I intended to keep it for personal use, but God had other plans. Not two days after I received it, a student in my ESL class approached me, interested in learning more about our church. She had been involved in the Mormon faith as a little girl in Mexico City, but since the age of five was without any religion. She said she didn't have a Bible and would like one.
