Thrivent Financial for Lutherans® has discontinued its GivingPlus program. Thanks to the planning and good strewardship of LHF supporters, the Lutheran Heritage Foundation received nearly $200,000 in matching gifts from Thrivent over the past five years.
Later this year, Thrivent will be unveiling a new giving program called Choice Dollars. Beginning this summer, about 30 percent of benefit members will be eligible to direct Choice Dollars to Lutheran nonprofit organizations, including the Lutheran Heritage Foundation. Eligibility for Choice Dollars is based on a benefit member’s involvement in Thrivent Financial, via their level of fraternal benefit society product ownership (life insurance, health insurance and annuities) and volunteer leadership.
Thrivent members will be mailed more information about how they can participate in Choice Dollars in the coming months.
