It can be tough coming up with new program ideas for your LWML meetings, month after month. But LHF is here to help!
When you order the "Alleluia! Alleluia!" LWML kit from LHF, you'll receive the following materials you can use to put together an interesting program about the important mission work of the Lutheran Heritage Foundation:
- A 12-minute DVD telling about the incredible obstacles faced by Cambodians, and how the Gospel of Jesus Christ has taken root in their hearts.
- A Bible study that guides your group through the parts of the liturgies translated by the Cambodian Lutheran Church, explaining where each piece came from and why the Church uses it.
- A package of photos illustrating life in Cambodia.
- “Jesus Never Fails” bookmarks for each of your LWML members.
- Ideas for Cambodian snacks (desserts, salads) to serve at your meeting.
- An opportunity to take part in this important mission project.
Use as many or as few parts of the "Alleluia! Alleluia!" project kit as you need to fit your meeting time.
LHF speakers will come to your church, free of charge, to tell how new Lutherans are embracing sound doctrine and begging for more materials to be translated into their languages. They will also share how your congregation can play a part in this important mission. Click here to view a list of available speakers.

In the Buddhist stronghold of Southeast Asia, introducing the Christian faith can be a difficult task.
But in Cambodia, the growth of the Lutheran church has been nothing short of breathtaking.
Five years ago, the Lutheran church did not even exist in Cambodia. This situation changed when the Lutheran Heritage Foundation (LHF) translated and published Luther’s Small Catechism into the Khmer language.
As the catechism explained what the Bible means in simple words, more and more people understood and were drawn to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Children and their parents were baptized; churches were founded.
Now, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cambodia (ELCC) is flourishing, but they still need our help.
One important resource Cambodians still lack is a hymnal. They don’t have a common order of service or the hymns of the faith.
Recently, ELCC leaders translated several Lutheran liturgies, as well as a body of hymns. LHF plans to publish the ELCC pastors’ agenda and a hymnal for the laity in 2011.
With your support, Cambodia’s alleluias will ring!
