Lutheran Schools Week: HEARTS FOR JESUS ACTIVITY

Categories: Uncategorized

Come with LHF as we Zoom to Indonesia!
Friday, January 29 from 9 – 9:30 a.m.

You and your students can participate in a live Zoom session with Imelda Aritonang, a Lutheran Christian in Indonesia.

Imelda is the person who delivers Bible storybooks and catechisms your students are providing to teachers and students in Muslim schools in Indonesia! She will talk with your students about what life is like in her country, what Muslims believe, and how they need Jesus. Imelda will speak a bit of her language for the students, and her friends will model some of the traditional clothing worn by the different Indonesian tribes.

This will be a 30-40 minute activity, with Imelda talking to the students for the first 15-20 minutes. Then, your classroom may submit questions for Imelda to answer in the last 15-20 minutes. If your classroom can only attend the Zoom for a portion of the time, that’s perfectly fine.

Teachers know their students’ abilities and attention spans best, but generally speaking, this event is suitable for students in grades 1-12.
