Thousands of children around the world want their own books to read about Jesus, who they hear about at church. Their parents had nothing to read to them, because there was nothing translated into their own language– until now. Thanks to the National LWML and LHF, 20,000 copies of books like God’s Word for You, A Child’s Garden of Bible Stories and Bible Stories in Pictures will be translated, printed and distributed around the world.

After years of oppression by Soviet leadership, Latvia’s Lutheran population has begun to rebuild. This work has been aided by the publication and distribution of Lutheranism 101, a book that explains the basics of Lutheranism off of the Small Catechism. Thanks to LHF and the LWML Central Illinois district, the church is able to regrow.
Mon Ami Jesus Sharing Jesus in Haiti and West Africa (2013)

In Madagascar, Lutheran materials are in high demand as books are often not even available. Pastors have very few books to learn from while in Seminary. With the LWML Central Illinois District’s help, LHF translated and published 2,000 copies of The Augsburg Confession and its Apology Study Guide in Malagasy.
